Hibs’ striker Anthony Stokes is frustrated after losing a two goal lead against Motherwell on Saturday.
The Irishman put Hibs ahead with a penalty kick then added a second with a superb curled effort but the visitors fought back to secure a share of the points.
Hibs have now taken only three points from their last four games but hope to bounce back against Livingstone on Tuesday night in the quarter final of the Betfred league Cup.
Despite a run of poor results, Hibs remain in the top six Stokes is convinced that the team has enough quality players but believes that they have to adapt to the opposition.
Speaking after the game Stokes said: “We’re also frustrated because it’s been the case for the last few games that we’ve been playing well and not coming away with three points.
“We should have played a few more channel balls, and we shouldn’t have kept dropping deeper, but it’s easy to say that now.
If you want to kill off a game then you have to get to 3-0.
“The manager wasn’t happy with how we lost a grip of the game. He must be so frustrated sitting there watching us let the game get away from us like that.
“The quality is there, and for 60 minutes today I thought we were the better team, maybe the experience isn’t quite there yet. Everyone has to adapt to the way the game is going.
“It’s not always going to be free-flowing football where you can just pop it about, we need to scrap and be a bit more physical.
“There are expectations here and the club is definitely on the up but we need to start putting points on the board.
“We’ve got a great chance to put things right straight away as we have a cup quarter-final against Livingston in midweek.”
