Thomas Jorgensen powered to a 15-point maximum as Workington Comets gained revenge over Berwick Bandits.

The Borders side recorded their biggest win of the season with a 56-37 scoreline at Berwick on Saturday.

But Jorgensen and former Edinburgh Monarchs skipper Craig Cook, who collected 13 points, were the sprearheads for the Cumbrian side.

Ty Proctor chipped in with ten points while Dany Gappmaier was best for Berwick with 11 points to complete a high-scoring weekend. He scored 15 points on Saturday.

The sides were level at 27-27 after nine races and Comets looked home and dry when they went 42-36 ahead after Heat 13.

But Bandits skipper Kevin Doolan and Gappmaier claimed a 5-1 in the following race to make it 43-41 and the nerves were jangling.

However, Jorgensen and Cook kept their cool to make sure with a 5-1 in the final heat for a 48-42 win.
