It is Final Call for – War In America.
The days are counting down to what must be one of Edinburgh’s almost unique ‘found space’ theatrical events – at the former Royal High School.
War in America is a searing insight into the political elite and the games they play in the pursuit of power. Jo Clifford’s poignant and poetic play paints a vivid picture of a country in political turmoil. With changes in the party and a new female leader set on pursuing the truth, what evils will be deemed necessary, will each side stop at nothing to get what they want? How long can the nation stand when the political and the personal collide? When truth is a dishonourable business? A moment of certainty must come. This is a democracy after all.
Clifford’s foresight is a damning critique on lessons not learnt and history repeating itself…
