Following the announcement at the end of last year that the Fruitmarket Gallery is to extend into neighbouring premises it seemed that the writing was on the wall for the Electric Circus.
Although they said at the time they had another two years is now a certainty that the Market Street club is going to close this month.
The venue has been filled with music and dance for some years, and in a previous incarnation was Buster Brown’s, the best place in Edinburgh for some great nights out in the eighties.
