City of Edinburgh Basketball Club enjoyed a double success at the Scottish Basketball Cup Finals in the National Performance Centre in Oriam at Riccarton near Edinburgh with their senior women and under-18 girls teams both lifting the Scottish Cup.

Kats defeated Tayside Musketeers in the women’s final 66-42 with another strong performance from Scottish internationalist, Emma Findlay who was awarded the Most Valuable Player award with 20 points and 13 rebounds.

She was supported by Nicola McBrierty and Leanne Page who had 17 points and 15 points respectively.

The Kool Kats under-18 team maintained their undefeated record this season with a 65-58 victory over local rivals Boroughmuir Blaze.

Portobello High pupil Celina Eisenhardt was awarded Most Valuable Player honours after collecting 24 points and four rebounds.

City of Edinburgh Basketball Club, which was formed in 1988, has now won 56 Scottish Cup titles across senior, under-18 and under-16 for men and women.
