EURO INDOOR HOCKEY: EuroHockey Indoor Club Trophy (in Siauliai, Lithuania)
DUNDEE Wanderers women gained promotion to A Division yesterday (SUN) thanks to an outstanding performance in the EuroHockey Indoor Club Trophy in Siauliai, Lithuania.
The Tayside team came second to Ukrainian cracks MSC Sumchanka who won all six of their games in the tournament to earn 30 points.
That included a 5-1 win over the Scots who won four and drew the other of their games to collect 22 points, three more than English side East Grinstead.
Scottish international Becky Ward, a former Edinburgh student, said: “What a bunch of legends these women are.”
