What are you doing next weekend?
Why not go along to the first Fizz Festival to be held in the capital? There will be fizz of all kinds from all over the world for you to try and masterclasses all about food and drink.
You will get a free wine carrier to take anything you buy home with you, and you will have the chance of speaking to producers there who can tell you more about your favourite tipple.
The Festival culminates in an Awards ceremony, recognising which producer visitors thought provided the best Champagne, Sparkling Wine UK and Sparkling Wine Rest of World.
As well as some local independent wine merchants, Champagne Taittinger the Prosecco brand Zonin and award-winning English wines from Hush Heath will all be on offer. Other exhibitors include Vino’s, L’Art duVin, Woodwinters, Oddbins, Appellation Wines, From Vineyards Direct, Majestic and new kids on the block Good Brothers wine bar from Dean Street in Edinburgh.
Tickets are normally £25 per person but we have a discount code for you to use which will get you money off your ticket – FIZZTASTIC.

The opening hours for the Festival will be 12pm-3pm and 4pm-7pm on Saturday 29 October 2016 and it will be held at Edinburgh Academy, 42 Henderson Row, EH3 5BL.
The Fizz Festival has come about as a result of a collaboration between Cracking Wine – founders of the Fizz Festival in Cheshire and local wine educator and PR professional Diana Thompson who lives here in the capital.
