A man’s body has been found on the A899 Broxburn to Livingston road, near Junction 3 of the M8.

The discovery was made around 2.30pm this afternoon and police have thanked the public for their patience after the road was closed to traffic.

Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police in West Lothian responded to the A899, near Livingston, at around 2.30pm on Tuesday, March 8, following the discovery of a man’s body.

“Inquiries at the scene are ongoing and further updates will be provided when available.

“The slip road from the M8 westbound at Junction 3 to the A899 is currently partially closed, but vehicles can still exit the M8 and use the Deer Park roundabout.

“This is leading to some minor delays and the public are thanked for their patience at this time.”
