Hibs’ main sponsor Marathonbet has hailed the team’s supporters after Saturday’s Scottish League cup semi-final victory over St Johnstone at Tynecastle despite the fact that the performance cost them a fortune.
New customers were offered a generous 7/1 for Hibs to reach the final and plenty took them up on the offer. Now the company are offering new customers a big-price enhancement for the big game.
A Jason Cummings’ penalty and a long range strike from John McGinn secured a place in the final at Hampden Park on Sunday 13th March against Ross County after the Staggies beat Celtic 3-1.
A spokesman for Marathonbet said:“We are proud of Hibernian’s success and grateful to all the loyal fans who spent time sending in good luck messages to the lads ahead of the League Cup semi-final. The messages were broadcast on the electronic advertising hoardings at Tynecastle and no doubt played a part in propelling Hibees to the final.
“We would also like to congratulate fans who took up the generous 7/1 new customer offer for Hibs to qualify and reach final – even though we took a battering from lucky punters! Fear not if you don’t have an account and missed out as we’ll again be offering all new customers a big-price enhancement for the League Cup final!
“Like you we cannot wait for the clash against Ross County in March. We’re with you every step of the way. Glory Glory to the Hibees!”
