HERE+NOW is an Edinburgh-based landscape architecture and design studio specialised in co-design. They are curating the Hold Me Dear: Four Cities, [Extra]Ordinary Places photography exhibition which will transform the old railway tunnel at Rodney St, Canonmills from Thursday 24 September with a month-long community exhibition making more creative use and a public destination of this tunnel along a popular walking/cycle route.
All photographs exhibited have been sent in by local residents of the place in their city that they personally treasure, and include a caption giving personal insight into the story behind why they personally love the place photographed. The exhibition has been built by the HERE+NOW team together with a large number of local volunteers through a series of workshops over the last few weeks (photos and more info here).
The public launch event for the exhibition this Sunday 27 Sept will be held from 12noon – 2pm in Rodney St tunnel and King George V Park. The launch event will include talks, live music from Jazz Danmark, live local artists painting, a free bike workshop and cycle tours of the other City Link Festival venues and events that this exhibition forms part of.
