On the Main TRIM Facebook page which has over 3,000 likes the group tries to post any items which residents no longer want and to-date they have given away / re-homed
- Over 20 Sofas
- 10+ Televisions
- Beds
- Hoovers
- Play Station
- Mobile Phone
- White Goods and more
Using their main page they often received multiple messages from residents about one item, this can be time consuming to administrate so they have decided to start up a brand new “Group” to allow residents to facilitate things themselves.
The brand new group is Called “ TRIM Freebies” – It really is that simple –
Joining the group is free and they ask all residents to join up work with them to stop fly-tipping in the area.
Got something to offer?
- Post it direct to the group with a comment – “Collection from Muirhouse / West Pilton Etc” – Once it’s gone simply edit to G O N E
- Message TRIM page and they will post on your behalf
- Email us – Muirhouseresidents@hotmail.com
- Pop in in person to the Muirhouse Community Shop or Muirhouse Millennium Centre
- Call them 07914 942 026
Worth Noting:
- Not a selling group
- No animals may be offered via the group
- Any illegal items will simply be removed
Already the group is starting to work with several items being exchanged between residents, one item in record breaking time of 48 seconds 🙂
