gaw_0633__large-1VisitScotland have awarded Edinburgh Bus Tours the five star grading that they have had in previous years, which is all the more important in this 25th year of business.

The city tours, which are the third most popular paid attraction in Scotland, have maintained the top rating thanks to its ‘exceptional standard’ of service, which it first achieved in 2011.

Kenny Campbell, Tour Operations Manager at Edinburgh Bus Tours, said: “In the last year over 520,000 visitors hopped on the tour buses, and we expect even more to take advantage of the five available routes next year. The fact that we have been able to retain our five star rating once again shows that we are still delivering an excellent service through our diverse range of tours which offer something for everyone.”

Manuela Calchini, Regional Director at VisitScotland, said: “My congratulations go to Edinburgh Bus Tours on retaining its 5 star status for a fourth consecutive year for the superb standard of services it provides visitors to Scotland’s capital. This highest grading in our Quality Assurance scheme is only awarded to tourism businesses and attractions which offer exceptional levels of customer care and facilities so winning and maintaining it is a significant achievement.”

Edinburgh Bus Tours has also marked its milestone anniversary by commissioning Kinloch Anderson to design and produce an exclusive tartan scarf. Based on the City of Edinburgh tartan design, the scarf is now available from the Waverley Bridge Travelshop and online for £24.95.

The Edinburgh Bus Tours app which is available on Android and Apple, has enjoyed success with over 50,000 downloads since launch in 2012.
