The world’s oldest – and most famous – rugby sevens tournament, the Aberdeen Asset Management Melrose Sevens, takes place for the 124th time on Saturday 12th April 2014.

The home of rugby sevens, the sport was created in Melrose in 1883. 20 teams from across Scotland – including all six of Edinburgh’s top sides – will fight it out on the pitch, alongside international teams, for the Aberdeen Asset Management Melrose Sevens trophy.

With plenty of action and attractions on and off the pitch, the event – which is sponsored by Aberdeen Asset Management – is the perfect fun day out for families and rugby fans alike.

Tickets for this family event, which are available from the website, cost between £20 and £40 for adults, £10 for children under 15 and from £15 for senior citizens.
