Janice Bruce’s wish has come true. She is producing and choreographing a show in aid of charity, Leukaemia CARE.

“It is mainly a dance show with dancing and singing from over fifty musicals,” said Janice. “Shows I have choreographed in the past, together with some new ones I have always wanted to do, for example El Tango de Roxanne from Moulin Rouge.  The response from dancers and singers to be part of this great cause has been overwhelming, everyone is giving their time for free, even the band members.

“One of my friends in MGA has given their dance studio over to us for rehearsals, while the cast have paid for a church hall for other rehearsals.”

After 36 years working as a Visual Merchandise Manager Janice Bruce is leaving the John Lewis Partnership. In her spare time Janice is a choreographer and director for amateur musical shows in Edinburgh, and now she has her own show. Ever since her mum died a few years ago, it has always been Janice’s wish to put on a dance show for charity.

With the number of costumes Janice has made over the years and the contacts she has made, the show will be well kitted out. The only costs should be the hire of the theatre itself together with sound and lighting.

The main thing is to get as big a cheque as possible for Leukaemia CARE and that’s where you come in. If you would like to lend your support, please do buy tickets to see the show.
Let’s Face The Music and Dance runs from Thursday 17th April to Saturday 19th April 2014 at the Church Hill Theatre Morningside Road.  The show starts at 7.30pm with a Saturday Matinee at 2.30pm. All tickets are £15 which includes a free prize draw. Call 07751282710 for tickets.
