Hearts’ youngster Jordan McGhee must have wished that the ground would open up and swallow him after he gave away a penalty near the end of Thursday’s Edinburgh derby, but instead that appears to have happened to a Hibs’ fan.
The fan’s goal celebration following Liam Craig’s spot kick has become an internet sensation. As the ball hit the back of the net, the supporter in the Lower Famous Five stand jumps into the air then disappears. Fans’ Forums Hibs Net and Jambo Kickback both highlighted the incident then this morning, popular Sky TV football show Soccer AM featured it on their ‘Third Eye’ section which involves viewers sending in clips of funny football related events.
Presenter Helen Chamberlain said “Most of Scotland tweeted and emailed us this clip from the Edinburgh derby. Watch this Hibs’ fan. He celebrates Hibs’ penalty then disappears. Watch the fella in the green jacket. Co presenter Russ Williams added “He’s never been seen again.”
