Nat Fraser – Panda News – New Town Housebreaking  – Botanic Garden Edinburgh – Tonight at The Filmhouse

The trial of Nat Fraser continues today with the defence now making their case at the High Court in Edinburgh. Fraser is charged with the murder of his wife, Arlene, who disappeared 14 years ago from her home in Elgin. The Daily Record reports that Fraser has decided not to take the witness stand.

Tian Tian and Yang Guang, Edinburgh Zoo’s giant pandas, had a special A list Hollywood actress pop in to see them yesterday morning.  None other than actress Nicole Kidman took time out of her busy filming schedule to bring daughters Sunday Rose and Faith to see Sweetie and Sunshine.  Nicole and her family got in the same way as other regular visitors and, following their visit to see the pandas, enjoyed another couple of hours wandering around Edinburgh Zoo in the lovely sunshine. Noone seems to have any photos. Do you? Would you share them with us?

A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged following an alleged housebreaking and theft from a property in the North of Edinburgh.

High value electrical equipment, jewellery and a Volkswagen Golf car were taken from an address in Heriot Row on Saturday 19th May.

The man was scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court  on Monday in connection with this incident as well as alleged offences under the Road Traffic Act.

A police spokesman said: “As a result of public intervention a man has been arrested and all stolen property recovered.

“We are grateful to our communities for their assistance during this enquiry.”
