Jim Orr is the SNP candidate for Southside/Newington Ward.
He is a self-employed auditor who specialises in improving the efficiency, cost-effectiveness and governance of public sector bodies, particularly the local government and higher education sectors.
A keen sportsman (cycling and running) he travels everywhere by bike, bus and train. Orr is aged 39 and lives in Marchmont. He is a Chartered Accountant and also has a Masters degree in EU Politics and Law (From Edinburgh Uni in 2010).
He is a first time candidate but is a lifelong SNP member. Jim is the constituency organiser for Edinburgh Southern and so is responsible for the Independence Referendum Campaign.
