Musselburgh Racecourse will benefit from increased horsepower after securing a sponsorship deal with Pentland Land Rover.
The Edinburgh Land Rover dealership will supply staff vehicles and vehicles used by veterinary and medical staff on race days as part of the agreement.
Musselburgh Racecourse general manager, Bill Farnsworth said: “Pentland Land Rover’s association with Musselburgh is an ideal fit, pairing a VisitScotland five star venue with the luxury Range Rover brand and one of Scotland’s most successful motor dealerships.
“The partnership offers up benefits for both brands and in practical terms, the agreement also gives us access to Land Rovers on race days for our vets and medical teams, as they follow the progress of each race around the track.”
As part of the sponsorship package the Friday evening race meeting on May 25 will be named the Pentland Land Rover Race Day.
