Queensferry Community Council has show great support for Queensferry Ambition by offering the use of their premises at 53a High Street to project manager, Diane Brown.

The role of the project manager is to meet with the local businesses, community groups and local authority to gauge opinion on the real issues of Queensferry.

Diane Brown said “Having permanent premises on the High Street is an invaluable and very generous contribution from the Queensferry and District Community Council. QDCC have been very supportive of Queensferry Ambition and have made me extremely welcome from day one. There is a real spirit of willingness from both the private sector and the local community to work together to benefit business, residents and visitors for  Queensferry and this is a perfect example.”

The vision of Queensferry Ambition is to improve the business environment, promote Queensferry as a local, national and international tourism destination, attract new investment and evolve new ways of making the most from available resources.  It is a business – led programme of investment with funds generated by levy, based on business rates, and businesses work collectively to agree how the funds will be invested.

Keith Giblett, Chair of QDCC, “QDCC has been active and fully supports the BIDS process as we believe that the businesses in Queensferry should be given the opportunity to decide whether a BIDS Company should be formed to best represent their collective interests in improving and developing the trading conditions that affect South Queensferry . We are pleased to be able to support the process and have a desire to see a BIDS company in place sometime in 2012.
