This afternoon National Grid is pleased to be hosting ‘Urban Adventure’ at The Forthquarter Park off Waterfront Broadway, Granton between 1pm – 4pm.

The event is free and is aimed at primary school children. There will be many fun games and activities for the children to take part in and keep them occupied.

The Leith Festival also begins today and goes on until Sunday the 19th June. There will be over 150 various activities to take part in so go along and get involved.

Absolutely Legless at The Scottish Storytelling Centre at 7.00pm Absolutely Legless, a traditional Irish Dance Group based in Edinburgh is performing once again on your doorstep. This vibrant group of over 25 dancers and musicians has developed a reputation for exciting and innovative performances throughout the world. Inspired by the Irish hard and soft shoe traditions, Absolutely Legless perform original dances in a relaxed and informal manner while remaining faithful to their roots. The dancers combine the grace of the soft shoes with the power and rhythmic precision of the hard shoes to provide a truly exhilarating experience. This approach is reflected in the music from the band. The unique line-up of fiddles, flutes and guitar play new arrangements of traditional and original airs, jigs and reels.

The Meadows Festival is on this weekend. Completely free to attend and run entirely by volunteers.

The annual Edinburgh Moon Walk is taking place on Saturday night raising money for cancer. The walk is 20 miles long and shall go on throughout the night.

Novelist Nicola Morgan will be sharing her experiences, skills and advice on getting published at a specially Glitterary Afternoon Tea. The event takes place at The Howard in Edinburgh.

The Bike Station’s Postcode Challenge is a free family event in Edinburgh taking place on Sunday.The challenge is to find 10 cards which can be found at different postcodes along the North Edinburgh traffic-free cycling pathways. Whoever discovers all 10 cards will receive a prize.
