The BBC children’s science programme, Bang goes the Theory, is at The Edinburgh International Science Festival, at The Mound. If you don’t know anything about Bang then watch this BBC video
And if you are lucky enough to get tickets then you might get a shot at helping to Build it with Bricks, but even if you cannot get a ticket to take part, then if you are around Princes Street later today then you might be able to catch a glimpse of the completed Lego mosaic which is being built as part of First Foot. The Brickish Association is an adult Lego fan club, and they are helping out too. You can see a video of their chairman, Wallace Ellismore, at the Forth Bridge with his replica model built of Lego on the BBC. and if you are a real Lego fan then you can see the replica of St Pancras station here which uses 60,000 bricks…..

In the Guardian Edinburgh this week you are asked to comment on the plans by Starbucks and Krispy Kreme (one of The Reporter’s personal favourites – yum!) to open chain stores in Edinburgh.
And The Scotsman reports that the Court of Criminal Appeal has thrown out an application by Luke Mitchell, who was convicted of killing Jodi Jones, to have his case overturned on the grounds set out in ‘Cadder’. Mitchell claimed that as he did not have a solicitor present during police questioning he was wrongly convicted.
