The Mercat Bar has sensationally scooped the award for best bar and restaurant in the Radio Forth area. They beat off stiff competition and the owner, Graham Blaikie, was justifiably very proud! He has worked very hard to provide the best service, food and welcome at this renowned Haymarket venue.
This award comes hot on the heels of awards from the SLTA (Scottish Licenced Trade Assoc) where Mr Blaikie received the accolade of Licencee of the Year 2010, The Edinburgh Evening News Awards (Best Gastro Pub) and the Best of Edinburgh Awards where The Mercat won Most Loved, Pub, Gastropub, and was deemed the second most loved business in the whole of the UK.
