We are very honoured indeed that The Drambuie Liqueur Company Limited have designed for us our very own cocktail – so here it is. We hope you enjoy it, although we urge you to please drink responsibly. ‘The Edinburgh Reporter’

30ml Drambuie
25ml Crabbie’s Ginger wine
3 dashes Orange Bitters
1 Barspoon Crème de Mûre
Small thumbnail-sized piece of fresh root ginger
6 cloves
Put all the ingredients in a mixing glass and stir briskly for 15 seconds

Fine strain into a chilled coupette
Rub a piece if ginger around the rim and discard
Twist a piece of orange peel over the surface of the drink and discard

Garnish with a strip of clove-studded orange peel
