Edinburgh Airport has teamed up with City Car Club to provide on-site businesses and visitors to the city with 24/7 access to pay-by-the-hour self-service cars. Hot on the heels of the Streetcar expansion to the airport in September, which you can read about here.
The UK’s leading car club have initially placed two hybrid cars at the airport which are now available to book by the hour, day, or as long as they like. The cars are conveniently located in the short-stay car park, directly outside the airport terminal, so members can be out of the airport and driving away in seconds.
The City Cars are perfect for employees located at the airport, day visitors and business people who fly in and need quick access to a car to drive into Edinburgh or the surrounding areas.
The cars can be booked online or by phone in advance or at a moment’s notice. All members need to do is pick up the car and drive off. When the booking has ended, simply return the car to its bay. It’s as straightforward as that, there’s no paperwork, no contracts, no need to pick up or drop off the keys at a desk and no charges for not returning the tank full.
Edinburgh Airport are committed to developing in a sustainable and responsible manner, which is why the City Cars located there are the brand new Toyota Prius Hybrid T3 cars which boast CO2 emissions of less than 100g/km. These are the only hybrid cars available to hire from the airport, a significant introduction as the airport continually looks to lower its carbon footprint.
Car club membership appeals to both individuals and businesses alike.
