There is still time to register for the EU Rural Cooperation Fair taking place at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on 23rd and 24th September. This free event will be a great opportunity to share knowledge and experience with other people from rural Scotland and Europe.
There is a lot of other information about it here on The Scottish National Rural Network.
The mission and purpose of the website is stated thus:-
“The Scotland National Rural Network website aims to connect rural Scotland in all its diversity to promote economic growth and community development.
It provides news, information and networking opportunities for everyone living and working in rural Scotland, and helps them to keep in touch with similar communities in the rest of the UK, Europe and beyond. Through the use of interactive communication tools, it aims to facilitate the sharing of common issues and examples of good practice by rural development practitioners and stakeholders.
The site provides help with finding out about funding opportunities for a wide range of rural projects. It publicises events in Scotland and throughout the UK and Europe which will help promote sustainability and economic growth, and it disseminates information about innovative social, economic and environmental initiatives.
The website plays a central role in the Scottish National Rural Network which forms one of four linked UK rural networks.”
