A fleet of dozens of classic Bentleys from all over the world will be on display in the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town today.

At 11am, the Britain by Bentley tour, featuring a large contingent of cars from the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and many more countries, will be formally welcomed to Scotland’s Capital by The Rt. Hon. George Grubb, Lord Provost of the City of Edinburgh.

Up to fifty cars, some dating from the 1920s and 30s, will then take pride of place on the Royal Mile for much of the day.

The Lord Provost said: “If you’re a fan of classic cars – or even if you’re not – the sight of dozens of handsome Bentleys making their way through the heart of Edinburgh’s Old Town is bound to be hugely memorable. It’s a great honour for Edinburgh to host this international tour and I’m sure the Royal Mile will draw quite a crowd on Monday as people turn out for a glimpse of these wonderful old cars.”

Britain by Bentley celebrates the 75th anniversary year of the Bentley Drivers Club.

And before we get loads of comments we know that this is a photo of a Rolls-Royce and not a Bentley. This is due to personal preference and the fact that this is the only photo of a classic car we could find at short notice! And yes it is another one of our own photos…
