Police have named a man who died following a crash in Linlithgow as Raffaele Bramante, 48, from the local area.
The incident happened around 12.20am on Sunday, 30 August, 2026.
Mr Bramante was on foot at the time of the collision, which also involved the driver of a grey Renault Clio car.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
Police Constable Threadgold extended his condolences to the deceased’s family, stating: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who has died.”
“Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing for anyone who saw what happened and is yet to contact police to get in touch.”
“If you were driving in the area around the time of the crash please check any dash-cam footage you have and make contact with us if something has been captured that could assist with our investigation.”
