Josh McPake is the man of the moment in the William Hill Premiership after his spectacular strike secured a memorable 3-1 win for the Jambos at Easter Road.
He is being talked about as a possible call-up for Scotland and, for now, he reflected on being part of the victorious Hearts squad against Hibs.
Easter Road was packed on the night and ex-St Johnstone forward, McPake, who started his career at Rangers, told Hearts TV: “It was a brilliant atmosphere and the travelling fans did really well.
“I got an assist in the first half but I really wanted a goal and I am ecstatic about it. It could not have gone better for me.”
Hearts’ head coach, Wouter Vrancken (pictured by Nigel Duncan) has told McPake that, going forward, he has freedom, and he said: “He has helped bring me on.”
Overall he said: “The fans were brilliant, so were the players, management and staff, and I will enjoy that one.”
Meanwhile, M J Kamson-Kamara has joined Kilmarnock on loan until January 15, 2027
And five of Hearts fixtures have been moved to accommodate their Conference League ties in Europa.
Hearts travel to Celtic Park on Sunday, October 18 (3pm) and the match is on Sky Sports.
They also go to Motherwell on Sunday, October 25 (2pm) and that match is on Premier Sports.
Celtic come to Tynecastle on Sunday, November 29 (3pm) and The Steelmen travel to Edinburgh on Sunday, December 13 (3pm).
Finally, Hearts visit Ibrox to face Rangers on Sunday December 20 (3pm).
