Marvyn Bartley and his assistant Neil Hastings resigned from Livingston late last season, and subsequently took over at Stenhousemuir, guiding them to the top of the William Hill Scottish Championship.
They arrive at Almondvale on Friday night unbeaten so far and boosted by a 3-1 victory over Inverness Caley Thistle last weekend.
Lewis O’Donnell netted a double and Sam Youngs a single in the victory, their third so far, and they are on ten points after four outings.
Livingston are fourth with six points from two wins and two defeats, the second coming at Arbroath last weekend when Gavin Reilly split the sides with a penalty after 49 minutes.
Two players were red-carded, Scott Constable of Arbroath and Cameron MacPherson of Livingston and Lions boss, Glenn Whelan, is desperate for his men to bounce back from the defeat at Gayfield.
Scott Pittman and Robbie Muirhead had chances and they will have to capitalise if Livingston want to earn three points against the side which recently beat Motherwell 1-0 in Central Scotland in the Premier Sports Cup.
Bartley (pictured by Nigel Duncan), is a former Livingston and Hibs midfield player, and he saw his men earn a win over Livingston in the group stage of the Premier Sports Cup, drawing 0-0 at full-time then winning 3-1 on penalties when they met on July 25.
The BBC cameras will be there to watch the action this time (kick-off 19.30) and, of course, Stenhousemuir host Hearts in the quarter-final of the Premier Sports Cup on Friday, September 11 (19.45) and Bartley will look for a win in West Lothian ahead of that clash.
