Brennan Johnson scored the winner when Tottenham Hotspur won the 2025 Europa League Final against Manchester United.
He then tasted Euro glory with Crystal Palace last season when they won the Conference League.
Now, he has switched club again, joining Everton in a deal which takes Dwight McNeil to Selhurst Park. Everton, incidentally, begin their Premier League season against Crystal Palace at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday, August 22 (15.00).
Johnson has penned a four-year contract and is the fifth summer singing for David Moyes’ squad.
Merlin Rohl’s loan obligation was activated and Hayden Hackney, Tyrique George and Christian Norgaard added.
Nottingham Forest was where Johnson first game to prominence and he has played for Wales on 45 occasions.
He said: “I want to come in and show what I can do. I want to bring all my attributes. I think I can bring speed, goals and everything I’ve got.”
Everton are at Scottish Gas Murrayfield on Wednesday against Newcastle United (17.15) in a pre-season challenge and it remains to be seen if Johnson is part of the squad.
