Allandale Tarn trout fishery near West Calder has now re-opened after their temporary closure due to the heatwave and fishing times are 9am to 10.30pm.
Elsewhere, the first match in the Scottish Federation for Coarse Angling’s SFCA evening series is on Friday, July 3 at Strathclyde Park.
The draw takes place at 17.00 and fishing is from 18.15 to 21.25. The likely area is at the boating pond end.
Entrants require to be SFCA members and several Scotland internationals are in the field along with members of the Edinburgh and Lothians Coarse Angling Club.
Finally, the Home Nations shore fishing are under way off the Kent coast and men’s ladies and youth teams are representing Scotland in the event.
