Livingston made it two straight wins without losing a goal when they travelled to Alloa and won 3-0, backing up Saturday’s 2-0 victory over William Hill Premiership side, Dundee, in another pre-season friendly.
The Lions scored two goals in nine, first-half minutes through Sam Nicholson and former Hearts player, Aidan Denholm, with Stevie May adding a third in the dying minutes.
Ross Stewart, Alloa’s goalkeeper, helped keep the score down in Clackmannanshire and it proved a comfortable win for the men from Almondvale.
Alloa were also aided by the woodwork after three goal attempts rebounded.
Glenn Whelan, Livingston’s new head coach, told the club’s social media: “Some things that we’ve worked on in training are starting to come out in games and it has been a decent test for us.”
