The busy M8 motorway has been cleared after a mid-morning collision triggered enormous queues and major delays for motorists.
The collision took place at around 8:35 this morning, and triggered 16-minute delays, according to Transport Scotland, who provided updates on X.
The M8 eastbound was blocked for nearly 25 minutes, but was eventually cleared and traffic began to ease at around 9:11am.
Emergency services are understood to have attended the incident, which occurred between junction 3 and 2.
Just before 9am, Traffic Scotland posted on X: “All lanes now running Eastbound following the earlier collision.
“Traffic remains heavy on approach with approx 15 minute delay.”
Giving another update at 9:11am, they added: “Traffic has now eased Eastbound following the earlier collision and reverting back to normal levels for the time of day.”
Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
