Police in West Lothian are appealing for witnesses after a vehicle was stolen and set alight near Broxburn.
The incident happened shortly after 4am on Thursday, 24 September, 2026, near to Drumshoreland Road.
A Land Rover Defender was discovered alight a short distance away from where it was parked on the evening of Wednesday, 23 September. The fire was on a single track road south of Newhouses Road and to the east of Almondell Country Park.
Officers are asking anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area, or who may have captured any vehicles or suspects on private security cameras or doorbell systems, to provide anything of relevance to police.
Those with information should contact Police Scotland via 101 and quote incident number 0539 of 24 September. An anonymous report can be given to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
