Rangers today confirmed the signing of Hearts’ midfielder, Cammy Devlin, on a two-year deal with an option for another year.

The Aussie international, who was in the squad for the World Cup, reunites with former Hearts manager, Derek McInnes, after making more than 150 appearances for the Jambos.

Devlin (pictured) was a key figure in midfield as Hearts surged to the top of the William Hill Premiership last term and was “gutted” at the last-day defeat at Celtic Park.

The Sydney-born player joined the Men in Maroon in 2021 and he was a fans favourite for his combative style.

Devlin has five Aussie caps and he is the sixth signing by the Ibrox club who were joined by his former teammate, Lawrence Shankland, recently.

The 28-year-old player was given a deadline by Hearts to commit to the offer of a new deal which he failed to meet and he leaves the Capital combine under freedom of contract.

He told Rangers FC media that he was delighted to get the deal over the line and added: “With the gaffer coming here, and a lot of change happening at the club, it feels like a great time to be coming here.”
