Rangers have confirmed that Danny Rohl has left the club by mutual agreement to move to Austrian-based Bundesliga combine, Red Bull Salzburg.
Rohl arrived at Ibrox to take over as head coach in October and also leaving will be Sascha Lense, the first-team performance manager, and Tristan Steiner, the first-team analyst.
Andrew Cavenagh, Rangers’ chairman, said: “He (Danny) and his staff put in a significant amount of hard work during his time in charge.”
Significantly, the club’s statement added: “A further update from the club on the vacant position will follow in due course.”
Media speculation indicates that Derek McInnes, the current Hearts head coach, will be offered a three-year deal to take Rohl’s place with the Jambos receiving £400,000 in compensation.
