Derek McInnes believes Hearts are in a good place ahead of their crunch clash with Falkirk at Tynecastle on Wednesday (20.00) and he stressed that the club’s focus was on the Central Scotland team, not Saturday’s visit to defending champions Celtic (12.30).
The Jambos head coach (pictured) told a media briefing at The Oriam: “Obviously, we have a fantastic opportunity, it is going to be a really important five or six days ahead of us, and it is important that we try and enjoy it.”
The ex-Aberdeen and Kilmarnock manager added: “We feel we are in good form and, for us, it is a complete focus on Falkirk.
“This game needs our full attention, for us this is not a semi-final ahead of a final, this is a final for us (against Falkirk) and it is important that we have the concentration on Falkirk because they are a good side who have caused teams a lot of problems this season.
“Hopefully, we pick up another three points, but I am pleased with the form of the team.”
He is pleased with recent form, having played Motherwell, Hibs, Rangers and Motherwell again and picking up ten points out of a possible 12 from the four games.
McInnes said that form is not easy to produce and he added: “We just need to produce another two big results.”
