Police officers in East Lothian have arrested and charged a 39-year-old woman in connection with a number of thefts from shops.
The woman was arrested yesterday Wednesday 17 June 2026.
The offences took place at premises in Musselburgh and officers said that the loss to the shops was around £2,400.
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A police spokesperson said: “On 17 June 2026, a 39 year old female was arrested and charged with series of Theft Shopliftings from premises in Musselburgh.
“The loss to these businesses was approximately £2400.
“A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
