A 38-year-old man has been found guilty of a series of sexual and violent offences committed in East Lothian and Elgin between 2010 and 2024 against four women.
Christopher Malcolm was convicted of 13 charges including multiple rapes and assault to injury and endangerment of life on Tuesday, 16 June, 2026 following a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh.
He is expected to be sentenced next month.
Detective Sergeant Jade Wardell said: “Christopher Malcolm is an extremely dangerous individual who terrorised the victims and subjected them to horrific abuse.
“He will now face the consequences for his despicable actions, and I hope this result offers some closure to the women he committed his crimes against.
“Police Scotland takes all reports of sexual and violent crimes seriously – no matter who the perpetrator is or how much time has passed.
“I would like to appeal directly to anyone who has experienced this type of abuse to please come forward and make a report to us.
“We will thoroughly investigate, with specially trained officers to support victims and work with partner agencies, to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.”
