Battling Berwick Bandits came from four points behind after the first leg of the Maxicab Knockout Cup semi-final to march into the final after a gap of 37 years.
The Borders club beat holders Poole Pirates 55-35 in the second-leg at Shielfield with Nick Morris top scoring with 11.
He was backed up by Jye Etheridge and Peter Kildemand (pictured) who both collected ten points.
Best for Pirates was Richard Lawson with 12 points and the former Glasgow Tigers racer was the only Poole rider to make a double-figure score.
Berwick, however, got off to the worst possible start, losing the first heat 4-2, but the home side hit back in the next to level at 6-6. Another 4-2 moved them ahead by four points and level on aggregate and a 5-1 in the fourth race extended that advantage.
Another 5-1 in Heat Six extended their lead on the night to ten at 23-13 and they were 30-18 ahead after a 5-1 in Heat Eight.
A 4-2 in the 11th race saw the home side move into a 40-26 lead and within touching distance of their first appearance in the Knockout Cup final for 37 years.
A 3-3 heat followed and Berwick claimed a 4-2 in the next race with Nick Morris winning and Peter Kildemand coming in third to ease 16 points ahead at 47-31.
And Jye Etheridge wrapped up race 14 with Jack Smith in second for a 5-1 to take the home side out of sight at 52-32 and spark celebrations.
The home side earned a 3-3 in the final race and Berwick’s last final appearance was in 1989 when they beat Poole comfortably on aggregate having restricted them to a four-point first-leg lead.
Since then, Bandits have made two semi-final appearances but they kept their cool on this occasion and ran out 98-82 winners over the two legs.

Meanwhile, Edinburgh Monarchs edged Plymouth Gladiators 47-42 in Devon in the Cab Direct Championship. Scott Nicholls was best for the home side with 18 but Dan Thompson scored 12 for the visitors.
