The South East Edinburgh Community Policing Team have won the Community Alcohol Partnerships Excellence in Education Award 2026,.
Officers accepted the award in person at the Houses of Parliament on Monday 2nd March 2026.
The Community Alcohol Partnerships (CAP) are collaborative initiatives that bring together and support local partnerships with the aim of reducing alcohol harm in children and young people.
This award is a recognition of all the work that has been done over the past year and is testament to their commitment, dedication and impact on the local community in tackling underage drinking.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Projects such as the Sky Academy Studios and Midweek G.O.A.L.S would not have been possible without the valuable input of partner organisations across Edinburgh and we thank them for their continued involvement and support of these valuable initiatives.
“In particular James Gillespie High Schoolnd Boroughmuir High School, Places For People, Lothian Buses, Sky Up Academy, Edinburgh Leisure, Sport Scotland Community Sport Hub Network, CEC Youth Work & SE Edinburgh Community Sport Hub, Gracemount High School and Active Schools.”
