Police have arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with an attempted murder in Edinburgh.
Around 9.50pm on Tuesday, 3 February, 2026, officers were called to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle being driven on Lochend Drive.
Emergency services attended and the pedestrian was taken to hospital for treatment. The vehicle failed to stop at the scene.
Officers have also arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Police say that their enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
