An affectionate crossbreed is about to spend her first Valentine’s Day in Dogs Trust care, and is searching for her one true love.
Despite stealing the hearts of her foster carers, Kiwi, is yet to meet her love match, so the team at Dogs Trust West Calder is determined to play cupid by shining a Valentine-themed spotlight on the sweetheart.
Fun-loving two-year-old Kiwi was handed into Dogs Trust in March last year due to a change in family circumstances. The affectionate youngster has been enjoying spending time in a foster home where her foster carers have said she is “adorable, loving and a fantastic house guest”.
Zoe James, Rehoming Manager at Dogs Trust West Calder, said: “Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to celebrate beautiful Kiwi, as she is the most loving and affectionate girl. She is thriving in foster care and has her foster carers smitten by her sweet and affectionate nature, but we need to find her a permanent place to call home.
“As well as saying how well behaved she is at home, her foster carers have been impressed by how quickly Kiwi learns. She is a very clever girl who is keen to learn, so puzzle toys are a firm favourite. After snoozing on the sofa, Kiwi shows you her yoga moves with downward- facing dog being a breeze. Her perfect Valentine’s Day would involve jumping in the car and going for a walk to either a secure field or somewhere quiet, followed by a Kong filled with tasty treats and a snuggle on the sofa. Kiwi’s looking for a love nest with adults only, and where she is the only pet. She’s an active girl who enjoys letting off steam in a safe space when she has room to run, climb, and play, so active adopters will be her pawfect match.
