Two Hibs midfielders have left the club in Transfer Deadline Day.
Junior Hoilett will join English League Two side, Swindon Town and Dylan Levitt will join English League One side, Leyton Orient.
With the 2026 FIFA World Cup coming up, Canada international Hoilett wished to explore his options in pursuit of regular first team football; therefore the Club agreed a deal with the 35-year-old to allow him to make the permanent move to Swindon Town.
Hoilett joined Hibs in August 2024 and went on to make 53 appearances in green and white across all competitions, contributing seven goals and six assists.
On Hoilett’s departure, Hibs head coach David Gray said: “Junior has been an incredible professional, a real leader and role model for everyone, both on and off the pitch.
“I would like to thank him for his time here at Hibs. He has been a privilege to coach and work with every day, and I wish him all the very best for the future and the next step in his career.”
The Club also agreed a deal with 25-year-old Levitt to mutually terminate his contract, which will allow him to make the permanent move to Leyton Orient.
The Welsh international joined Hibs in July 2023 and played 82 times for the Club across all competitions. In total, Levitt scored five goals and contributed three assists.
On Levitt’s departure, Gray said: “I would like to thank Dylan for all his efforts and his contribution during his time at the Club.
“Unfortunately, Dylan hasn’t played as much as he would’ve wanted to this season – so he was keen to explore opportunities elsewhere.
“With six months left on his contract, we felt this agreement is best for all parties involved and I would like to wish him all the very best for the future.”
