Hibs midfielder Miguel Chaiwa has been named in the SPFL Team of the Week as chosen by Craig Fowler from BBC Scotland’s ‘A View from the Terrace’

Hibs won at Celtic Park for the first time in 16 years as the away side took full advantage of a second-half red card given to the hosts to triumph 2-1. Though Kai Andrews may have been the hero with a late goal, Chaiwa was the best player on the park.

Clyde’s James Hilton was named at Star Man.

The rest of the team is as follows.

GK – Jerome Prior (Livingston)

Ten-man Livingston may have let a late two-goal lead slip against Rangers on Sunday, but that was certainly not the fault of their goalkeeper, who made a string of tremendous saves earlier in the game to help the home side build their advantage.

DEF – Stephen O’Donnell (Motherwell)

A cool-as-you-like flick over his opponent’s head from the veteran right-back was just one of many special moments from Motherwell this past weekend as they announced themselves as William Hill Premiership title contenders with a 5-0 away destruction of St Mirren.

DEF – Aaron Muirhead (Arbroath)

The defender scored and put in a big performance at the back as Arbroath defeated Dunfermline Athletic 4-2 at Gayfield on Saturday afternoon.

DEF – Matty Allan (Forfar Athletic)

Forfar remain three points off a play-off place in William Hill League Two after a 2-1 home victory over Annan Athletic this past weekend. Allan put in an impressive performance at the heart of the back-line.

DEF – Patrick Reading (Partick Thistle)

Reading put in a solid defensive showing and got himself up and down the wing as Partick Thistle moved to within three points of the top of the William Hill Championship, winning 1-0 against Airdrieonians at Firhill.

MID – Ethan Hamilton (Dundee)

Hamilton both scored an incredible winning goal and was his side’s clear man-of-the-match as Dundee ended a 22-year wait without a victory at Pittodrie, defeating ten-man Aberdeen 3-2.

MID – Calum Adamson (Alloa Athletic)

Two assists and a tireless, box-to-box showing from the on-loan Rangers midfielder helped Alloa to defeat Hamilton Accies 3-0 and move above Queen of the South into third place in William Hill League One.

FWD – James Hilton (Clyde)

This week’s Star Man comes from the fourth tier as Clyde reminded everyone that they’re still lurking in the William Hill League Two title race with a thumping 5-0 victory over Edinburgh City. ‘Jinky’ helped himself to a hat-trick in the thrashing at New Douglas Park.

FWD – Nikolay Todorov (Queen’s Park)

The forward scored and led the line superbly well as Queen’s Park got themselves a huge result in their bid to survive the William Hill Championship relegation battle, winning 3-2 at home to Greenock Morton.

FWD – Taylor Sutherland (Montrose)

Montrose may have beaten Queen of the South thanks to substitute Craig Brown’s late stunner, but the ground work was laid for the 3-2 victory by Sutherland and team-mate Blair Lyons tormenting the away defence. Fowler opted for Sutherland as he managed to get himself on the scoresheet.
