Stuart Findlay has confirmed he will be at Hearts until the summer of 2028 after signing a permanent deal.
The Glasgow-based player has been an ever-present in defence for the Men in Maroon this season and the deal comes into force after his loan contract with EFL Championship side, Oxford United, ends.
Findlay, who worked with Derek McInnes at Kilmarnock, has scored five goals in 24 appearances for the Jambos and has helped the club accumulate nine clean sheets.
The 30-year-old, Rutherglen-born defender, has felt at home since Day One and McInnes told the club’s official website that Findlay has been every inch the Hearts player he expected.
The former Aberdeen and Kilmarnock boss added: “He’s been part of a successful defence and he’s a danger in opposition boxes, and he is the type of character you want around the dressing room.
“He loves it here and wants to be part of something special so I made perfect sense to take advantage of his contract expiring down south and get his future sorted with Hearts.”
Meanwhile, Landry Kabore is expected back at Tynecastle this week following Burkina Faso’s elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations. The country qualified from the group stages but lost their last 16 match against Ivory Coast. He made three AFCON appearances.
