Islam Chesnokov has finally completed his move to Gorgie after agreeing a pre-contract move last summer.
The Kazakhstan international will be at the club until 2028 after finalising his move from FC Tobol.
Derek McInnes, Hearts’ head coach, told the media that the 26-year-old is keen to get into action and he could be considered for Sunday’s trip to in-form Dundee.
The coach revealed that the right-winger has been keeping tabs on the William Hill Premiership pace-setters and watched the Livingston game while he was travelling to Scotland.
McInnes said: “Our desire to bring Islam in has been well-documented and everybody involved deserves a lot of credit.”
The head ciach met the newcomer on Saturday night after the narrow win over Livingston and McInnes said: “He is a very talented player and we think he can come in and help the team.”
