Bosses of the East Lothian-based Bass Rock Shore League are angling for members to swell their ranks.
Their next meeting is on Wednesday, January 7, at North Berwick and the boundary is the harbour area.
This is a measure and release match and registration is at the harbour from 6pm to 6.30pm. Fishing is from 7pm to 10pm.
There is an 18cm size limit on fish and anglers are reminded to bring a pen to mark the catch of a nearby fisherman.
Elsewhere, The Edinburgh New Year Shore League starts on Friday at Joppa and the organiser is now seeking names.
Ian Campbell confirmed that registration is from 6pm to 6.15pm at the Bridge Street car park EH15 1TG. Fishing is from 7pm to 10pm and the event pre-booking only.
