Hibs head coach David Gray Gray has a selection headache on his hands, with a number of players now doubtful for tomorrow’s game against on-form Falkirk.

Speaking to Hibs TV Gray gave an update on the fitness of his players.

He said:“There’s been a few bumps and bruises from the Celtic game. Nicky Cadden came off with a calf injury, so he won’t be fit for this weekend. It’s not one that’ll keep him out for months, but he will miss this one.

“Thibault Klidje is still out. He tried to train yesterday but isn’t quite ready. I hope to see him back next week.

“We have a few doubts; Junior Hoilett has a little niggle but hopefully he will be ok, and Jordan Obita felt his hamstring against Celtic, but given Nicky’s situation we will monitor him.

“Grant Hanley does come back in, though, after his suspension. There are a few moving parts, but the rest of the group is in a good position.”

Gray wants his side to be “aggressive” and “on the front foot” from the very first minute.

The team looking to get back to winning ways at the weekend, following the defeat to Celtic last time out, and will be looking to create some distance between Hibs and Falkirk in the league table with both sides currently sat on the same number of points.

“Falkirk are now on level points with us after Wednesday’s results, so this match is an opportunity for us to put ourselves three points in front of them.

“They haven’t lost many games recently and have done really well since they returned to the Premiership. They have a group of players that are used to winning games of football, and they had back-to-back promotions, which isn’t an easy thing to do, and they have stamped their authority on the Premiership this season. I went to the game on Wednesday night, and I thought they were good.

“I’ve tried all week to focus on us and make it all about us. We’ve looked at our strengths to make sure we can really take the game to Falkirk.

“Our challenge is to be on the front foot from the start, to be aggressive, and to concentrate on how we want to approach the game.

“We’re well aware of their threats, but the focus is on us with a desire to get three points.

“We want to be winning our games at home, especially, and we have a chance to do that on Saturday.”
