Hibs head coach David Gray has provided an injury update on his squad ahead of tomorrow’s game against Rangers.

Speaking to Hibs TV, Gray admitted it was touch and go regarding regular starter Warren O’Hora who was forced to leave the field with an injury late on in Sunday’s victory over Aberdeen.

Another couple of squad members will miss out entirely.

He said: “Warren (O’Hora) hurt his shoulder. It doesn’t look too significant, but it could be touch-and-go for tomorrow. He trained this morning with it strapped up, so we will manage that and see how we go.

“Dylan Levitt missed the Aberdeen game due to sickness. That did escalate a little bit and he’s since had his appendix out. That’ll keep him out until after the international break. He is recovering well, so we will see how he goes.

“Rudi Molotnikov picked up an ankle injury in the UEFA Youth League, which is a real blow for him. He needs to stay positive, and really kick on after this. I’m sure he will.”

Hibs go into the game sitting third in the league table and off the back of two positive results and performances.

He added: “It’s as good as it can be off the back of two very good results, where the performance level has been very high. You can’t ask for more than that going into a game against Rangers at home.

“Rangers come into the game off the back of a win with their new manager, so we have that to contend with, but at home, at Easter Road, we expect it to be a good atmosphere and we’re all looking forward to it.”

Rangers go into the game off the back of a 3-1 victory over Kilmarnock on Sunday – their first win under Danny Rohl. and Gray gave an insight into what to expect from the Gers under their new Head Coach.

“They still have the same players, and the new manager hasn’t had too much time to change much. I think this is their third game in six games, so he won’t have had too much time on the grass. They’ve had a few changes in shape, so we have to be ready for that.

“My biggest challenge is making sure we maintain our level of performance. Looking at the last game against them, we learnt a lot about where we can be better. We know we let ourselves down the last time we played them, so that’s the challenge to the players to make sure we’re better this time around.

“They’re always good games, they’re always a tough opposition, but we’re going into the game in the best possible frame of mind. We’re in a good place, confidence levels are high and it’s a good game to be involved in.”
